Construction of the Centre Pompidou-Metz

Building
The construction of the Centre Pompidou-Metz, designed by architects Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, presented a major coordination challenge. This landmark project, renowned for its exceptionally large timber roof and bold architecture, brought together teams based across France, Japan, Germany and Switzerland.
To support this international collaboration, all project documentation was centralised on the Mezzoteam platform. All stakeholders therefore had a single point of access to documents, plans and reference information throughout the construction process.
The platform helped structure communication between the different project management teams and contractors, streamline approval processes and ensure document traceability. Despite the geographical dispersion of the teams and the technical complexity of the building, everyone was able to work from reliable, up-to-date information, reducing the risk of errors and delays associated with document exchanges.
Completed in summer 2009 and officially opened in 2010, the Centre Pompidou-Metz is now an international architectural landmark and demonstrates how collaborative tools can help secure the delivery of large-scale projects involving numerous stakeholders and demanding technical requirements.
