Construction of the m3 line

Transport and Infrastructure
The Lausanne m3 metro project is one of the most significant public transport development initiatives in French-speaking Switzerland. Led by the Canton of Vaud in partnership with the Lausanne Region Public Transport (tl) and the City of Lausanne, it aims to meet the growing mobility needs of the Lausanne-Morges metropolitan area while supporting more sustainable travel.
Designed to complement the m2 metro, the m3 will connect Lausanne train station to Blécherette via an entirely underground route. Its development has been refined to better integrate with the transport network, featuring a direct link to Chauderon—a new multimodal hub—as well as service to strategic districts such as Beaulieu, the Casernes, and the future Plaines-du-Loup eco-district. Ultimately, this new infrastructure will help streamline travel, accommodate rising public transport ridership, and support the urban development of the Vaud capital.
To manage this complex project, the teams are using Mezzoteam, our Construction Project Management platform. It allows them to centralize all documentation, facilitate communication between the project's many stakeholders, and ensure full traceability of information throughout the design and construction phases.
