Construction of package 1 for this new line

Transport and Infrastructure
Package 1 of Line 17 of the Grand Paris Express marked a major milestone in the development of the future automated metro system for the Paris region. Awarded by the Société du Grand Paris to the Avenir consortium—led by Demathieu Bard Construction alongside Implenia, Impresa Pizzarotti, BAM Contractors, and their partners—this €440 million (excl. tax) contract involved the construction of nearly 6 km of tunnel, the Le Bourget Aéroport and Triangle de Gonesse stations, as well as six auxiliary structures, a tunnel boring machine launch shaft, and an access trench.
Completed in 54 months, this project was notable for its high level of technical complexity: excavation at a depth of approximately 20 meters below the water table, hyperbaric maintenance operations, and the spectacular "Big Lift" assembly of the tunnel boring machine using a 1,000-ton gantry crane. In total, the Florence tunnel boring machine traveled 6 km, accounting for over 243,000 hours of excavation.
To support this operation involving numerous stakeholders, the consortium relied on the Mezzoteam platform to centralize all documentation, ensure the distribution of up-to-date information, and provide complete traceability of communications. Deployed rapidly and integrated into existing workflows, the platform facilitated team adoption and streamlined collaboration throughout the project.
