Tramway line construction

Transport and Infrastructure
Commissioned in 2018, the Ouargla tramway, nicknamed the "tramway at the gateway to the Sahara," is a major piece of infrastructure for the development of urban mobility in Algeria. Spanning 9.6 km with 16 stations, the line connects Hai Nasr to the historic center of the Ksar, while also providing links to the city's bus and train stations.
The Mezzoteam platform supported the project's delivery on behalf of the Rover-Alcisa – Assignia – Elecnor consortium by facilitating document sharing, stakeholder coordination, and operational tracking throughout the construction process.
Completed in a particularly challenging Saharan environment, the project required the implementation of specific technical solutions to address geotechnical issues, extreme heat, and the accumulation of sand on the infrastructure. The teams adapted the structures and equipment to ensure the reliability and longevity of the line under extreme climatic conditions.
