Modernization of the Line A ventilation system

Transport and Infrastructure
To support the expansion of the Toulouse metro network, the various modernization programs led by Tisséo have relied on the Mezzoteam platform to facilitate the coordination of numerous stakeholders and manage operations within an active, operational environment.
The platform has supported several strategic projects, most notably the modernization of the ventilation and smoke extraction system for Line A. Carried out over three years, this work involved equipping 12 ventilation shafts with new, higher-performance, and quieter equipment, while also strengthening passenger evacuation systems and emergency response capabilities in the tunnels.
Mezzoteam also contributed to monitoring the adaptation work at the Basso Cambo and Borderouge maintenance centers, which was required for the arrival of new VAL trainsets intended to increase the capacity of lines A and B. Conducted while the network remained in operation, these projects were completed at the end of 2017.
Finally, the platform supported the redevelopment of the Jean Jaurès and Marengo-SNCF stations, two major transit hubs on the network. With over 100,000 daily passengers passing through Jean Jaurès station, optimizing platforms and walkways was essential to improving passenger flow and user comfort.
By centralizing documents, communications, and project tracking, Mezzoteam enabled project teams to collaborate effectively throughout these modernization programs, contributing to the success of work carried out without interrupting metro service.
