Construction of the new Franck Joly Hospital

Health
For the construction of the new Franck Joly Hospital in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, the Centre Hospitalier de l’Ouest Guyanais (CHOG) deployed the Mezzoteam platform to centralize communications, streamline coordination between stakeholders, and secure document tracking throughout the project.
Commissioned in October 2018, this facility is now a major healthcare asset for western French Guiana. Located over 200 km from Kourou and 260 km from Cayenne, it addresses the healthcare access challenges of a region experiencing rapid population growth and significant geographical distance from major referral hospitals.
With a capacity of 361 beds, the new hospital has significantly expanded the range of locally available care by integrating new strategic services:
Throughout this large-scale operation, Mezzoteam supported the project teams in collaborative document management, information sharing, and process control, contributing to better coordination among construction stakeholders.
The new Franck Joly Hospital now plays an essential role in strengthening healthcare provision in western French Guiana and sustainably improving the patient care pathway for local residents.
