The Clermont-Ferrand SMTC (urban area public transport authority) chose Prosys’ collaborative working solutions in February 2003 for the implementation of the city’s first tramway line. With 14 kilometres of track, 31 stations and a budget of 290 million Euros, line A was a major investment. More than 75,000 inhabitants used the system.

Following the entry into service of the tramway in 2006, the SMTC decided to extend use of the EDM into operations. Following the end-of-project archiving, the SMTC selected certain technical data to provide to the operator in Mezzoteam. The project therefore now has a works EDM and an operations EDM.

When the line A extension project came up, SMTC turned to Prosys for the electronic management of all the project documents, such as letters, technical data and so on.
