The major construction project for a new metro system in Copenhagen, Denmark used the Mezzoteam solution.
Work began in 2011 and was set to be completed during 2018.
The 15km-long Cityringen underground metro includes 17 stations and is used by 240,000 passengers per day.
Two tunnels have been built, each approximately 15.5km long, as well as a branch line to the new Control and Maintenance Centre (CMC). Cityringen is composed of two new M3 and M4 lines, which have connections to the existing metro (at the Kongens Nytorv and Frederiksberg stations). Connections are also possible with the regional rail network.
Cityringen is set to enable transport users to reduce their journey times dramatically. The line will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week with automated, driverless trains.
