On 20 March 2018, Alstom and EMA (Entreprise Métro d’Alger) celebrated the inauguration of the city of Ouargla tramway in Algeria in March, a project that was developed with Mezzoteam on behalf of the Rover-Alcisa – Assignia – Elecnor group.
Abdelghani Zaalane, the Algerian Minister of Public Works and Transport, inaugurated the city of Ouargla’s first tramway system. The event was attended by Kouraba Mostafa, Managing Director of EMA and Henri Bussery, Managing Director of Alstom Algeria.
